DASSAULT FALCON SERVICE DEVELOPS CPDLC FANS 1/A+ STC fOR F900C/EX

(Le Bourget, France, May 20, 2014) – Dassault Falcon Service is introducing Falcon Elite II, an avionics upgrade package designed to significantly enhance the capabilities of Falcon 900C and 900EX aircraft and help operators comply with ADS-B Out, CPDLC FANS 1/A+ and other new air traffic management requirements.

The new STC, developed jointly by Dassault Aircraft Services (DAS) and Dassault Falcon Service (DFS), reflects Dassault’s philosophy of making state-of-the-art options and solutions developed for its latest business jet models available to operators of legacy aircraft.

Started at the beginning of 2014 and scheduled for certification at the end of the year, the STC will allow operators to take advantage of new Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast Out navigation capabilities and to comply with FANS 1/A+ and Controller Pilot Data Link Communication requirements now mandatory in Europe. It is designed for seamless integration with other aircraft systems and will be fully supported by the Dassault Falcon Customer Service network.

Once again, our avionics engineering team has shown its ability to develop complex modification upgrades and make them quickly available to Falcon operators”, says Jean Kayanakis, DFS General Manager.

Dassault Falcon Service previously developed STCs for Honeywell MCS 7120 and Cobham Aviator 700D Satcom systems, which are prerequisites for the installation and activation of the FANS 1/A+ upgrade on the Falcon 900C and EX. The MCS 7120 & Aviator 700D STCs have already obtained certification from EASA, the FAA, Brazil and Canada.
