80th EASY II AVIONICS UPGRADE DELIVERED BY DFS
(Le Bourget, France, May 22, 2014) – Dassault Falcon Service has successfully completed its 80th EASy II flight deck upgrade. The project was performed on a Dassault Falcon 7X at the DFS facility in Paris-Le Bourget, France in early May.
EASy II provides pilots with a combination of new hardware and software features that markedly enhance communication, navigation and weather mapping capabilities, Available on both new and in-operation aircraft, the upgrade reduces pilot workload and enhances operational safety as well as aircraft efficiency, affording a significant improvement for Falcon operators.
“The Dassault Falcon Service team completed the EASy II upgrade in record time, minimizing the impact on the customer’s operating schedule,” says Jean Kayanakis, DFS General Manager. “We are proud to be the leader in providing this avionics upgrade for operators in the Europe, Middle East and Africa market”.
Dassault Falcon Service offers a wide range of retrofit solutions that allow Falcon owners to keep their aircraft up to date with the latest Dassault standards. For instance, since the certification of EASy II, Falcon operators have been requesting more new Satcoms capabilities such as Future Air Navigation System 1/A (FANS 1/A+) and Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Contract (ADS-C).
