DFS LAID THE FIRST STONE OF ITS NEW SITE IN BORDEAUX-MERIGNAC

Dassault Falcon Service (DFS) broke ground for its new Bordeaux-Mérignac maintenance facility in order to expand its Falcon MRO capacity.

It was last Friday, October 16, 2015 that Mr. Eric Trappier, CEO of Dassault Aviation, and Jean Kayanakys, General Manager of Dassault Falcon Service, celebrated the ceremony of the foundation stone in Mérignac. Local authorities and many officials were also present, including Pierre Dartout, Prefect of the Aquitaine Region, Alain Rousset, President of the Regional Council, Alain Juppé, President of Bordeaux-Metropole, Alain Anziani, Senator and Mayor of Mérignac, and Marie Recalde, Member of Parliament.

This new MRO facility, close to Dassault Aviation plant in Mérignac, will include a 7200m² hangar and will accommodate up-to 6 Falcon 7X, 8X or 5X. The work schedule targets a delivery for mid-September 2016, to start the activity in October.

Laying the "foundation stone" is a further step in our strategic plan of the DFS project in Merignac. Indeed, the company is working simultaneously on different topics, such as the transfer of people, the organization, operating modes, recruitment and training.

DFS project in Merignac is not only an industrial challenge but also a great human adventure to implement this Falcon maintenance activity in Merignac.
