DFS MODERNIZES THE 2 FALCON 50 OF THE ITALIAN AIR FORCE

Historic customer since 1985, the Italian Air Force recently entrusted Dassault Falcon Service with managing the C5 check of its 2 Falcon 50s.

Important modernization work was carried out during these visits, such as the renovation of the cabin interiors, a complete painting, but also major avionics modifications, like the upgrade of the Satcom system that allows the use of the smartphone and access to Wi-Fi on board. To ensure accordance with the new air traffic regulations, the ADS-B out (Automatic Dependant Surveillance – Broadcast Out) and CPDLC (Controller Pilot Data Link Communication) collision avoidance systems were also upgraded.

This 2 projects , which have represented more than a year of work, allow these Italian Falcon 50 to be delivered to the current standards and to leave again for several years of service. This is the largest maintenance operation on these two aircraft since they entered service more than 30 years ago.

Thanks to these projects, and thanks to its more than 50 years of experience, Dassault Falcon Service continues to prove its ability to maintain the entire Falcon range, from the oldest to the most recent models.
