THE ITALIAN AIR FORCE CELEBRATES 30 YEARS OF FALCON OPERATIONS
On April 24th 2015 in Ciampino (Rome), the Italian Air Force celebrated the 30th anniversary of Falcon operations within the 31° Stormo.
In the presence of Italian Air Force high executives (General Lodovisi, Comandante della Squadra Aerea and the General Comelli, his deputy), Colonel Alessandro Tortorella, Chief Commander of the 31° Stormo, recalled the glorious achievements of Falcon within the Italian Air Force. Both Dassault Falcon Service and Dassault Aviation have been associated to this celebration, as long-term partners of the Italian Air Force.
This is a 30 year fleet story that started in 1985 with the Falcon 50, then the Falcon 900EX and later the Falcon 900EX Easy; recording now more than 130.000 flight hours. This ceremony highlighted the 31° Stormo key missions of rescue and sanitary flights, through several stories reported by pilots, military and civilians involved in these Falcon accomplishments.
Dassault Falcon Service and its team based in Rome have been proud to attend this great event, as recognition of our historical links with the Italian Air Force.
